Coca-Cola Scholars Program

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  1. Seniors in high schools throughout the United States who meet the eligibility requirements may apply each year for one of 250 four-year, achievement-based scholarships. Students will find the application link on coca colaweb-page between August 1 and October 31. The deadline is October 31st and the student must be a senior at the time of application.
  2. Approximately 2,200 applicants will be selected as Semifinalists in mid-November and notified by mail and email. Semifinalists must then complete a secondary application, including essays, official transcripts, and two letters of recommendation. Semifinalist applications will be due by mid-January. Our Program Review Committee will select 250 Finalists to advance to the final interview phase. Notifications are sent mid-February.
  3. In April, the 250 Finalists are invited to Atlanta for personal interviews. The Finalists are interviewed by a National Selection Committee representing outstanding leaders in business, government, education and the arts. 50 students are then designated as National Scholars and receive awards of $20,000 for college; 200 students are designated as Regional Scholars and receive awards of $10,000 for college.

The work group Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology focuses on drug transport across biological barriers (especially intestines, lungs, and skin) as well as modern drug delivery systems (nanoparticulate carriers). Furthermore, the development of cell and tissue based in vitro models as an alternative to animal experiments is an important part of our research.

Funded by DFG, the interactions between mucus and surfactant proteins with enginereed nanoparticles shall be investigated, with the idea in mind to improve theier efficacy and safety for pulmonary drug delivery.

The Dr. Calvin Martin Memorial Scholarship Trust Fund Inc, a non-profit charitable organization, was named in memory of its founder Dr. Calvin Martin. His passion was a love for education. He fulfilled this by demonstrating his pedological skills as a teacher and administrative skills as a New York City Public School Principal.

 

His career allowed him to develop a unique perspective on the American Education System.

The mission of the Scholarship Trust Fund is to educate African American Male Students through a scholar and mentorship program, to achieve higher academic excellence.

Eligibility

  • The scholarships are available to students who demonstrate high academic achievements in high schools, colleges/and or universities. They must be born in the USA and reside in the Tri-State area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
  • The amount of $100,000 will be awarded each year in scholarships. A maximum of $10,000 will be awarded each year per student who is attending a four-year college or university program/or graduate school.
  • Applicants must choose a major in the following field: education, business, law, medicine, architecture, engineering and creative arts.
  • Applicants must be unmarried and between the ages of sixteen (16), through twenty-five (25) years old. (Please note that these scholarships are available to African American males only).

Announces the AY 2010 – 2011 Fulbright Science and Technology Scholarship PHD Student Program

The Fulbright Science and Technology Scholarship is a highly selective program for Ph.D. study at top U.S. institutions in science, technology, or engineering. Approximately 40 awards will be competed for worldwide looking for candidates who demonstrate unique aptitude and innovation in scientific fields. Scholarships will be awarded to applicants who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, and a commitment to improving cross-cultural relations through international exchange.

The fellowship will provide the following benefits: activities, tuition and fees; a monthly stipend for up to 36 months; books and equipment; research and professional conference allowances; round-trip airfare from fellow’s home city to the host institution in the United States; health and accident coverage as per U.S. government guidelines; and specially tailored enrichment activities. After three years, the American host university will be expected to cover the remaining expenses toward completion of the Ph.D. J-1 visa sponsorship will be provided for up to five years.

Ex’pression College is proud to announce the Ex’pression Scholarship, which will support students of merit with significant financial need who also show a strong potential for a future career in the digital arts industries. In January of 2009, Ex’pression College celebrated ten years of educating students in digital arts and maintains a commitment to developing future opportunities for students of merit who show a passion for art, technology and learning.

Eligibility requirements:

  • All degree-seeking students are eligible to apply. The Scholarship Committee will meet twice a year to review scholarship applications and make scholarship awards.
  • The Committee will consider a short essay submission, financial need, grade point average, and any submitted artistic portfolio when making scholarship award decisions. Scholarships will be for up to $6000 per academic year and can be automatically extended for a second academic year by maintaining at least a 2.5 GPA.

James Beard is fondly remembered by friends and colleagues as a man who offered unstinting help and encouragement to people embarking on a culinary career. Upholding Beard’s legacy of culinary  education and support through our scholarship program is an essential component of the James Beard  Foundation’s mission. The Friends of James Beard Foundation Scholarships and the James Beard  Foundation School Scholarships have been established to assist aspiring culinary professionals who  plan to further their education at a licensed or accredited culinary school.

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a division of  Scholarship America. Scholarship Management Services is the nation’s largest designer and manager of  scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and  individuals.
